GENIE

GENIE is a korean music streaming app which also majorly determines the charting of the songs on digital charts. It is very important that the songs should chart in the top 200 for them to get more digital points as digitals make up the most points in all of the music shows.

The charts for genie are determined using an hourly chart basis. It is important that we stream on all the hours.
The charts freeze for 6 hours from 1AM KST to 7AM KST, during which the positions can be maintained for hours.
Voting is also available for Korean Stays in genie app, which is also very important.
If you are an iphone user, you can download the songs at 12PM KST everyday to increase the positions in chart before the chart freeze.

HOW TO USE GENIE APP

DOWNLOADING THE APP

Download the genie app in your preferred system. You can download it by clicking the links below.

2. CREATING A GENIE ACCOUNT

1. Click on the link in the top right corner of the home page to sign up for Genie/ to create an account/ login to an existing account.

2. Login using any of your SNS accounts. If you have a valid Korean phone number, you can create your own Genie account.

3. After you enter your credentials to login, choose a nickname for yourself and also enter your email id. Tick all the check boxes.

4. Register the account after confirming that no error messages are appearing below the fields you have entered in red colour.

5. On the next page you get to buttons. Click on the second one if you want to register your Korean phone number. Click on the first if you don't have a Korean number.

3. SETTING UP GENIE PROFILE (OPTIONAL)

1. Click on the top right corner icon for your profile and enter it if you want to customize your account. This step is optional.

2. Click on the settings icon on the right bottom corner of your profile icon.

3. Change your profile photo, Display name and enter a description about you in the fields provided.

4. CREATING A PLAYLIST

1. Click on the Search icon from the bar below and search for 'Stray Kids' and select the account.

4. Click on the heart button to like the album and then add the entire songs in the album to the playlist by clicking on the link in the image.

2. Tap on the heart button to like Stray Kids and follow them.

5. Click on the play button below to start playing the playlist. And then click on the current playing song playbar.

3. Scroll down and click on the latest album 'IN生'

6. Click on the link on the top right of the page to shuffle the order of the songs, delete the songs and customize your playlist.

7. When you are done with customizing your playlist, click on the close button on the top left corner.

8. You can also add the same songs multiple times in your playlist by selecting the song by following the first 3 steps and the clicking on the play button.

9. When you select your playlist again, you can see that the song you have added have come at the bottom of your playlist.

10. The recommended playlist for streaming IN生 is given down below. You can use this playlist to keep all the songs in the hourly chart which has a duration of 1 hour.

Play Back Door only 4 times as it doesn't get count in the chart if it played more than 4 times in an hour.

11. To loop the playlist, click on the playbar and click on the loop icon on the left bottom corner and leave it for uninterrupted streaming.

You can use this playlist for max 2 hours after which you have to delete the entire playlist and recreate the same playlist again to avoid the stream from not being count.

5. DELETING PLAYLIST HISTORY

1. Click on the playlist icon in play bar below in the Home page of the app.

3. Select all songs to completely delete the playlist. Then click on the delete icon to discard the songs.

2. Click on 'Go To History' and delete you playlist every hour so that your streams are counted.

4. After pressing on the delete icon, you'll get a prompt to Confirm the delete. Click on the right link.

6. PROPER STREAMING SETTINGS

1. Click on the player bar to see the settings of the playlist.

2. Tap the heart to like the songs. Do not shuffle the playlist or skip through songs. Volume must be on at least 75% and never on mute.

3. Click on the stream quality and set it to AAC+ on both categories. Make sure to check whether any captcha appears while streaming.
